Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university or college in Education OR content related area: the Humanities, Formal (Math) Sciences, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences or Liberal Arts.

Preferred candidates will hold a valid teaching certificate, but this is not required.

Have certification(s) and/or licensing, professional work experience or a career/occupation in one or more of the following areas: the Humanities, Formal (Math) Sciences, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences or Liberal Arts Industry.

Some experience in teaching and class instruction.

Willing to complete a background check to ensure the safety of students.

Strong organizational and time and classroom-management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

Ability to build rapport with students

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission of JLA.
Responsibilities:

Manage and educate students in a classroom setting

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
-
Adhere to established teaching curriculum
-
Maintain positive relationships with students and parents

Document and share student grades and evaluations
-
Maintain the health and safety of all students
